Bible Quotations
Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations throughout this site are from the ESV® Bible (English Standard Version).
Divine Name Rendering
The ESV normally renders the divine name, the Tetragrammaton (יהוה), as “LORD” in small capitals, and sometimes as “GOD” when paired with “Lord.” This site renders it as “Yahweh” to preserve the personal and covenantal weight of the name. Apart from this divine-name rendering, ESV wording is otherwise retained.
Method
Scripture is quoted at key argumentative hinges in these articles — not to supply detached proof-texts, but to show how the biblical categories themselves generate the conclusions that follow. Readers are encouraged to read each quoted passage in its wider context.
